Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Stockton is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Stockton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place is a true Stockton institution and has consistently served some of the best Italian food around. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comforting, and the service makes you feel like family. Whether you’re a longtime local or visiting for the first time, this is one of those places everyone should experience at least once. After all these years, it’s still just as amazing as I remember. Highly recommend!

Loved the restaurant, service was good and food came out quickly. Salad bar was one of the best. Wasn't use to this style of italian meat sauce. If you like more tomato based sauces, you wont find it here. All our dishes tasted the same but might be your cup of tea.

Went in for dinner last night and had a pretty good experience overall. The place had a warm vibe, not too loud, and the staff checked in just enough without hovering. I ordered the chicken parmesan with pasta, and it came out hot with a nice crispy texture. Sauce tasted fresh, maybe a little salty but still good. My friend got the baked lasagna and finished almost all of it, so thats saying something. Portions were fair for the price too. We also shared tiramisu, which was creamy and light. I’d come back again when I’m craving Italian food.

What really sets this place apart is something most people never get to see. Behind the restaurant, they’re producing their ravioli in a clean, controlled, small-batch environment where everything is done with intention. Watching the process—from fresh dough being rolled out, to the careful filling, pressing, cutting, and packaging—you can tell this isn’t mass production. It’s tradition meeting modern standards, and it shows in the final product. And the fact that you can actually find their ravioli (meat and meatless), along with their sauces like pesto and meat sauce, in local grocery stores makes it even more special. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s part of the community. Then you step into the dining room, and the whole vibe shifts. It feels like you’ve been transported back to a simpler time—classic Italian atmosphere, red leather booths, white linens, and a layout that feels authentic and lived-in. There’s a deli to the side, a bar up front, and a welcoming, old-school charm that’s hard to find these days. We also got to see part of their catering operation, and it’s clear they handle volume while keeping everything organized and dialed in. On Saturdays, they even offer a

Famous reputation, but so so food. Ravioli was lukewarm to cold, their famous garlic bread was cold and hard! The only thing decent was the fried Ravioli. It was my friend's first time, and she had zero comments about the food. Service was strange. Waitress came to take our order, but then left quickly without taking our order. My friend and I looked at each other like: What's wrong with her? Definitely NOT a place to come back to quickly.
